This is a good book, however, I suggest you check your Professor's Syllabus first. The back of the textbook shows five different versions of the textbook and my university had one custom-made specifically for their classes. So their were additional chapters on some of the topics my Professor covered in the class not in this text. Therefore, even though the prices on Amazon are great, make sure you check your classroom syllabus for the version of the text your class is using.
It had to get this for my course, it is pretty useful and I learned a few things I did not know about.

I got this text for a class Intro to computers. I am an MIS major just taking it for easy credit. The book is easy to follow with step-by-step instructions. I even learned a few new tricks.
I needed this book for school and it was exactly as described. I have nothing bad to say about this.
